Thomas Cook customers who live in the UK can now take advantage of spreading the cost of their holiday, paying by Direct Debit. When they go to book their holiday, customers will pay a low monthly deposit. The remaining balance will be collected automatically in convenient monthly installments. The new option will be available as part of the checkout process when paying for your holiday.
Thomas Cook has become one of the first tour operator to offer this service, teaming up with Go Cordless to make it work. It’s an interest free payment plan with no extra fees to pay, you’ll pay exactly the same price as you would if you paid all at once. The most convenient feature of the payment is that you can choose which day of the month you would like to pay, meaning that it can coincide with dates such as payday. Customers will also be offered the lowest deposit available.
You can pay using a credit or debit card, or with a Thomas Cook gift card. You can also choose to use a separate bank account to make the payments from. The automatic feature of the payment removes the need to remember to make payments by yourself.
A spokesperson for the company said that Thomas Cook understood that for many of it’s customers, a summer holiday was their biggest spend of the year. She added that the partnership with GoContactless meant that customers could take advantage of a highly convenient, fee free way to spread the cost of a holiday, with the added security of booking it.
