Stagecoach Online
The Stagecoach website has been recently upgraded and it is now an extremely useful tool not only to view timetables in your area but also to do things like buy online tickets, find your nearest bus stop and even use their ‘plan your journey’ tool which will give you the times of buses for a one way or return trip, and how much it will cost you. If there is a problem with a bus’s service you will probably find the answer on the Stagecoach website as it is updated with regular roadworks and traffic situations. If you are waiting for a bus and can’t find any information as to why it is late, please call the contact number. Unsure of where you are or where you are going? There are useful maps available from Stagecoach and by clicking ‘local maps’ you can see bus stops and the routes that they take in your area. You can also call the contact number for further information about this. Passengers find the service update feature is useful, especially if Stagecoach buses are used for commuting as you can check if there will be any cancellations and make arrangements to avoid this. Most travellers buy their tickets when they are boarding the bus, but you can now become organised and buy your tickets before you get on to save you queuing. The most popular tickets to buy for Stagecoach are the Megarider; which allows you to get unlimited travel for a time and zone of your choice, the Unirider; this can be used at any time to travel as long as you have a student photo card and the name on the card matched the name on your Unirider ticket and the Dayrider which allows you to make as many journeys as you like as long as it is within one day. For more ticket information please call the contact number.
Stagecoach Timetable
Bus timetables vary depending on your area and where you are travelling to and from. All of the Stagecoach timetables can be downloaded from the Stagecoach website as a PDF, just enter the bus number you are enquiring after into the search box and the timetable will be retrieved. For your convenience, you can create a personalised timetable, adding your most travelled journey (such as the bus you take to work and back) and what times you take this bus.
Stagecoach Bus Passes and Smart Cards
If you are buying Megarider tickets that allow for unlimited travel for an extended length of time, it is definitely worth investing in a Stagecoach smartcard which will allow you to store all of your Megarider tickets on the one card, allowing for fuss-free travel. The Smart Card is an electronic travel card that you will receive for free on the first purchase of your Megarider ticket and couldn’t be easier to use (you simply scan it when getting onto the bus). Once your ticket has run out (time on the Megarider varies from person to person) you are required to top up your smart card yourself and you can do this when you get on the bus or you can do it online. Please note that you need to allow two days for your card to update so any credit that you load onto the card may take two days to process so it advisable not to wait until you have no remaining balance before you top up your card. If you are having problems using your Smart card please call the contact number and your issue will be looked into. If you have purchased your Stagecoach Smart card for the first time, you will need to register it at the Stagecoach website. Simply visit the Stagecoach category on their website and click to register your card. Your card will not be active until it is registered. If you know that you will be using the Megarider consistently then you can avoid the hassle of having to top it up with automatic payments which are taken on the first day of every month from your debit or credit card. If you would like to know whether or not Smart cards are available in your local area then please call the contact number.
Stagecoach Lost Property
The contact number is available if you have left something on a bus you are travelling on. Usually, anything that is left on the bus is taken back to the depot and put away in lost property until it is claimed. By ringing the contact number, you will be transferred to the depot where you can give a description of your item and arrange a time to collect your lost item. You can also report any lost Smart cards, passes or tickets to the Stagecoach help desk.
