Qatar Airways Bookings

The Qatar Airways website allows you to book both flights and holidays using their website. As stated above, they offer flights from the UK to a wide range of destinations as well as both budget-friendly and luxury holidays for couples and families alike. If you select the ‘holidays’ option on the homepage of the website, Qatar airways will combine the price of flights and a hotel which can enable you to really discover what Qatar has to offer. Whether you want to have a brief stopover in Qatar and don’t have much time to spare or whether you are planning a much needed holiday there, there is advice available on the Qatar Airways website, including the best hotels to stay in and the best sights to spend your time seeing. Qatar airways will also happily arrange for you to have a tour of the city, so you can enjoy a hassle-free getaway. Once you have booked your chosen flights to your chosen destinations, you can manage your booking by heading to the Qatar Airways website and clicking the link. Here, you will be asked to sign in using your booking reference (this can be found on the confirmation email that you received when you booked your flight) and your surname and then select ‘find booking’. Here, you will be shown all of your journey details and will also have the option to check in online. If you would like to find the status of a flight, you can do this by going to the Qatar Airways home page and selecting the flight tracker option. This can be handy for if you are waiting on a delayed flight or waiting for someone who is travelling on a Qatar Airways flight as you can see whereabouts they are. The Qatar Airways website also offers a number of flight offers and deals if you are planning a last minute trip. Be sure to check the homepage for deals on your desired destination before you go ahead and book a full price ticket.

Qatar Airways Baggage Allowance

Baggage Allowance on Qatar Airways flights varies depending on the length of the flight and where the flight is flying to. It also differs if you are flying in first class, from economy. Most journeys will allow two bags per passenger with each bag weighing no more than 32 kg. This is for regular flights to and from Brazil. For other flights, the allowance in economy class can drop to 23kg and remain the same in first class so it really is a case of checking your destination before assuming your baggage allowance. You will be made aware of the baggage allowance per passenger when you are booking your flight but if you wish to change this is and add more baggage to your booking you can do so by calling the contact number or logging back into your Qatar Airways account and reviewing your booking and selecting to add additional luggage. Please note that this will be subject to a fee and also any luggage that goes over the maximum baggage allowance will also be charged upon check in so please be sure to check you are definitely carrying the allowed amount of weight.

Qatar Airways Check – In

Qatar Airways does allow all passengers to check in when they arrive at the airport if checking in online is not feasible. However, checking in online can have a number of benefits, the main one being saving time and hassle when you arrive at the airport, and being able to proceed through security and enjoy either the airport lounges or Duty-Free shopping for longer. It is easy to check in online with Qatar Airways and as previously mentioned, just head over to their website and log into your own account. Once you have selected the option to check in, you can follow the simple instructions before being asked to select your seat and add any last minute passenger details, once your seats have been selected, your check-in is completed and you will be presented with printable boarding passes that will need to be shown when boarding your flight or if you have any bags that need to be checked into the hold. If you have downloaded the mobile version of the Qatar Airways website, you can opt to check in online and you will then be presented with a mobile boarding pass that you can store in your phone and show this as your boarding pass. This is extremely quick and convenient and also contributes to the environment by saving paper. Qatar Airways encourages online check in by offering a 10% gift voucher to be spent in Qatar Duty Free shops which is easily retrievable when you have checked in online and can be printed along with your boarding passes. If you do not receive the voucher when you have checked in online please call the contact number to report the issue. If you want to check in online it will open 48 hours before your flight is due to depart and will close 90 minutes before the flight’s departure. Once you have checked in online you will be unable to add any additional baggage to your booking. Please note that check-in for flights from the US will open 24 hours before the flight’s departure rather than 48. If you decide to check-in at the airport then Qatar Airways recommend that you arrive 3 hours before your flight’s departure, and check-in closes one hour beforehand. They also recommend that you keep all tickets and passports to hand to ensure a quick and smooth check-in process. Checking in online still means that you must go to the bag drop desk if you have baggage that needs to go into the hold, which still means queuing. Qatar Airways have invented the Q-tag which allows passengers to print off a luggage label themselves at home, meaning it is registered with the airlines and can simply be passed over on travel day. For more information about this, visit their website. If you are having any issues checking in, please call the Qatar Airways Contact Number.
