Airline British Airways are offering 50 lucky students the chance to get some work experience to help them gain insight into the aviation industry. The placement will be open to pupils in Year 10 and above who attend a school in the surrounding boroughs of Heathrow Airport: Ealing, Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea, Brent and Hillingdon.
The opportunities available with vary from discovering the engineering side of the airline to flight operations and customer service and it will be targeted at young people who wish to see first-hand how an airline operates, giving them the chance to gain some real experience in a fast paced working environment.
The Work Experience executive at British Airways said:

The students that come into our business get the opportunity to see first hand how a major airline operates and gain some real, hands-on experience that will help them make decisions about their future and build their skills. What is often forgotten is how good it is for British Airways too- it’s our chance to showcase our brand and contribute to our ever-growing workplace talent.”
The deadline for applications is today, April 8 for placements which will occur between September and December 2015. You can apply on the British Airways website. Successful applicants will be invited to an interview day.
