Ebookers is an online travel agent based in the UK as a subsidiary of Travelport. It operates in the niche of package holidays and travel services, offering both long-haul and short-haul flights in partnership with more than 250 large international airlines and 110,000 hotels, rail companies and car hire companies to provide the best possible hotel options to its customers. Ebookers operates across 12 European countries and can provide an incredible range of international travel and tourism opportunities due to its worldwide parent company, Orbitz Worldwide.
Despite this immense range of services, the front page of the official Ebookers site (this is not it) offers one thing above all others: cheap air travel.
Claiming that booking “all worldwide flights” with Ebookers makes everything “cheap and easy”, they are also happy to offer a cash-back and loyalty rewards scheme for customers, which compound into even greater savings on holidays. Ebookers is a one-stop shopping system for holidays, offering all your bookings in one easy price-comparison website, which allows customers to easily find the cheapest and highest-value options for any aspect of their holiday, saving them maximum money and time.
Ebookers doesn’t just provide flights, hotels and car rental agencies to holidaymakers, however. It can also provide travel insurance and other essentials to its customers, all in a one stop website format that takes the stress of finding connecting flight times and prices that suit your busy schedule and budget and making it fun.
The hotels that Ebookers works with are vetted thoroughly and are usually household names – Crowne Plaza, Thistle, Hilton Worldwide and many, many other big names. They even go so far as to say that your fun and enjoyment is guaranteed with them, so why book elsewhere? The Ebookers service is also, most remarkably of all, free. They will find your flight options and hotels, car rentals and insurance, compare everything you are looking at to find you the best deals, and do it all for free!

Frequently Asked Questions for Ebookers Customers
Are there any charges or fees for cancelling my booking?
• You can typically cancel any part of your booking via the Ebookers website, or by calling the Ebookers contact number.
• When you cancel a hotel booking, you will be refunded your full amount, but payment card fees are non-refundable. Multiple rooms must be cancelled separately and rooms cannot be cancelled after 12:01am on the day of check-in.
• Most flight fares are non-refundable – you will need to check with your own airline’s cancellation policy. Car booking cancellations done 48 hours prior to departure will incur an Ebookers cancellation charge. Rail cancellations will depend on the type of ticket purchased – check the Ebookers website for more information.
• Changes or cancellations made to a Package booking will incur an Ebookers administration fee of £25.00, plus any supplier fees, if applicable.[/toggle]
Can I make a reservation for a child who is travelling alone?
• Reservations cannot be made for children travelling alone, as Ebookers is unable to provide the special assistance required for them. This includes children ages 17 years and under.
• Travellers aged 12-17 (youths) or aged 2-11 (children) must both be accompanied by at least one adult or senior in order to book via Ebookers.
• The number of travellers aged under 2 (infants) must not exceed the number of accompanying adults or seniors. If the infant is travelling in lap, the airline will usually charge between 10-15% of the adult fare. If the infant is travelling in a seat of their own, you will be charged the child fare and will be required bring a car seat.[/toggle]
Is there a charge for checked baggage and in-flight meals?
• Whether you get charged for checking baggage and refreshments on your flight will depend on your airline. Visit this page and select your airline from the dropdown menu to view the fees for checking baggage, and for snacks or meals on board.
• Your baggage fees can be paid via the airline’s website or at the airport when you check in. You will need to have your airline record locator to hand, which is provided in your confirmation email from Ebookers.
• Please note that additional baggage fees are not included in your total trip cost when you initially make your booking with Ebookers, so ensure you make these payments to your airline separately before you travel. Also note that baggage fees need to be paid on both the outward leg and return leg of your journey.[/toggle]
Are Ebookers flights ATOL protected?
ATOL protection is a form of insurance against an airline’s collapse which allows holidaymakers to get home again as normal if their airline dissolves while they are on holiday. This keeps the scheduled flights flying, even if the airline due to run them cannot actually do it themselves, and prevents stranding innocent people due to no fault of their own. However, are Ebooker flights ATOL protected? Well, some of the airlines used by Ebookers provide ATOL protection on every flight. Others, like Ryanair, do not.
In short, some of them are, some of them aren’t. You need to check with the individual airline whether ATOL protection is included with your Ebookers flight. The possibility of your airline collapsing while you are on holiday is slim, but the protection may be worth taking anyway.
